As far as reaching $4000 worth of stuff in the truck, it is entirely possible. As far as replacing it, that's why they have renters insurance. If you're a home owner it should be covered under that.

My rule is if it won't fit in a large nylon bag, a smaller nylon bag for a shower run and the laptop bag you have way to much craploa in the truck! A microwave , coffee pot are throwaways if you have to bail or burn to the ground! Why do we need to carry so much junk with us?
zentrucking Thanks this. -
Your right when I drove a company truck I didn't have a whole lot of crap with me but as an owner operator things are different. Maybe he has one of those high dollar CB radios I keep hearing about but never have seen one.
-
You're missing the point. Who cares about how much does he has Or how much is it worth? The point was the way the company treated the driver ! Well back to your regularly scheduled thread.
-
I have contacted this companies safety director and ask him about company policy and history of this type if issue. He said they have only had 1 truck burn to the ground and it was in 2008. He also stated they would normally not post this type of situation on a DAC unless the driver was in an accident. I see your post was in March of 2010. Did you wait 2 years to complain?
-
Why would they tell you the truth? And you believe everything you are told by a company? Do you still believe in Santa Claus and the Easter bunny too?Big John Thanks this.
-
Do you believe everything you read on the internet?
Perhaps you should read:

Story seems oddly familiar doesn't it? Did you see the dates on it?PainNdaNeck Thanks this. -
And your point is??? I am disinclined to believe anything the company says. That is what my response meant.
I tend to believe the driver in this story as he has NOTHING TO GAIN by lying! -
I agree. So why is the driver lying? I joined here to get informed about companies out there. I also learned to research and it's funny how many conflicting stories you can find.
I say let's see the proof http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...warning-you-responsible-your-posts-under.htmlLast edited: Jun 7, 2010
