Best GPS for truckers 2010

I think the 740 is a truck GPS at least thats what the guy said that sold it to me.

 

Good Deal, I know nothing about those things and I honestly can say I dont want too. Its not that I'm against the technology, I'm just a bit too old school I guess. But that's my problem not yours

You already bought it, but for others looking for one, any PC Miler gps is tailor made for us and so far has worked flawlessly.

 

I am a huge fan of both the PC*Miler unit and the Rand McNally TND 700 unit. I personally like the TND 700 better, but YMMV.

I am currently running both the PC*MIler unit and the TND 700, as well as a TomTom Go930 (car GPS). I run the TomTom because it's especially good at finding certain POIs and I can download custom voices for it. I run the Kim Catrall voice most of the time as it's very pleasant.

 

Well I was going to ask what everone thinks about the garmin 465T but I am going to be getting that IntelliRoute® TND™ 700 from rand mcnally. Thanks.

 

Ive been running the pcmiler (730) since it came out. Since they did the update(jan), have had no problems with it. It hasn't routed on no truck routes or low overpasses as of this date.
