Well..I got the window thing fixed and noticed my door light doesnt work. Bulb was burned out. Replaced the bulb - nothing.
I have no idea when it last worked.
Checked the connections with a DVOM and I got nothing = 0v. Check the pos with a good ground and still 0v.
So its not a bad ground at least..
The door switch plunger isnt jammed and appears to move freely.
Does anyone have any schematics on this? Its a black/white pair of wires in a GREY sleeve that goes through the door, door opening into the cab and then I loose it. I have no idea where it goes from there !?
The lower door light on the driver's side works fine, so I presume the system is OK.

I have the same problem with my W9 and the cause is that the wiring is corroded off the back side of that pin switch. If you poke around there you should find out if that's your problem. I haven't changed mine yet, but it looks doable, but difficult.

That was the next thing I was going to check...but not sure HOW to get that switch out of there...

UPDATE: Got the switch out. Totally corroded. Bypass the switch and the light comes one.
Gonna hit the KW dealer today, but I need the pigtail, not just the switch. Not sure if thats available
since it is all part of a main harness. Ideally the switch might come with a pigtail, cause if the tail rots out
I am not sure what your supposed to do. Mine cannot be cleaned. The copper rotted away and 2 of the 3
pins 'dissolved' out.Last edited: Jul 5, 2010

BA2860 SWITCH-DOOR JAMB = $18.73 $14.61
K333-511KIT KIT CONNECTOR = $27.29 $22.74
Pain in the ##### to resplice in and get into the door jamb. Need to install the switch and THEN try and figure out how to wriggle the pigtail onto the end of it with like 2cm to move within.

Thanks, I got to check mine too.
