    AM may be right
    I don't know how hard a Detroit is to get reprimed.
    Did they change the fuel filters when they did the oil change?
    Only Detroit I have ever owned was a Gen set on a boat I had

    I had an older frieghtliner that did that. It was a sensor ontop of the transmision that had gone bad.

    White smoke always indicates water being introduced. Depending on where your fuel pick up is water is heavier than fuel and if your pick up is near the rear of the tank you could be getting a mixture on an incline as you describe. Or the filters were incorrect for that truck,Water separator may be malfunctioning.I've always ran lucas fuel injector cleaner every few tankfuls as insurance.

    white smoke is un-burnt fuel....:biggrin_25516::biggrin_25516:

    steam disapates pretty much as soon as it exits out the exhaust.. white smoke lingers and stiffels everyone. this stiffling poop is un-burnt fuel

    Can you read out everything from the ECU or just selected things? I would take a look at fuel temperature and see if its up close to 200 degrees F.

    Your rig is '07, so it's most likely an EPA '04 engine. But if it has the DPF (diesel particulate filter - a big cylinder in place of where the muffler normally would be), it is EPA '07.

    I agree with others that it is probably clogged up fuel filters.

    Nice rig. I'd love to see what's in the stacker (if you don't mind, of course). I see there were BMWCCA event and some track day going on at VIR. My humble E30 gets excercises at Willow Springs and Buttonwillow once in blue moon.

    sounds like trash fuel to me, clogged filters, anything around a oz of water is quite a bit, I would dump in Howes fuel treatment in with the lucas
