I think it has to do a lot with you DM. They get paid by the miles you drive, so obviously they want you back out. However, I'm willing to bet that Bigray, pjwo44, and myself have the same DM, or at least one of two from the Pensacola terminal. When on the road, I do my job, don't deliver late, make "exceptions" when I need to and stay under the radar so I tend to spend good time at home and not have to sit for loads.
I know of some other drivers (not saying you are like this at all) that are complainers, call in constantly with issues, and basically piss off the DM. In return, the sit for loads, and don't get home when they need to.
I'm not sure what advice to give you...but 4 days is not the max. If all else fails, look at the manual and see if there is something in there. Then relay that message to your DM over the Qualcomm....not by phone. There needs to be a record. Just my advice.

I just finished orentation in Phoenix and the terminal manager there said 4 days is the max, maybe it is a new company policy?

I've always done what's ask of me.. and a little more when I can. That shouldn't have anything to do with it really though. It shouldn't matter how brown your nose is. It's either one day per week out or it's not. If it's a 4 day max.. then it's 4 weeks out MAX.

But everytime I would stop the DM would call, SO I started parking in Mojave instead of Tehachapi. Then they did not catch it. I still don't understand why they should care, your in route and on time, past that I don;t think its there business where I stop. But thats May. -

i noticed KABAR said if you have the room you can take your truck home, i'm still waiting on word from Opel for my Orientation date, hopefully Monday, but she told me , exact words "You can NEVER take the truck home" said i'd have to park it in the Phoenix Yard and go home form there, what's up with that? i have enough room to park a tractor AND trailer if i ever needed to, what circumstances allow you to bring your rig home?

Personally, I would rather park at a terminal if I lived reasonably close. Less to worry about as the truck is on THEIR property.NorthWest Wonder and panhandlepat Thank this. -
