The post office is the one government agency that has always been honest :)
If they say they need more money, they do. I wouldn't even mind if they rounded it off to .50. I hate dealing with pennies.

Fed EX, UPS and online bill paying has put a big dent in their business. They still have to cover the same lanes with less income. We need the postal service regardless of freight volume.

Raising the price again? Glad I don't mail much.....geesh. They need to realize that people are moving towards other ways of communicating....Like newspapers....most people probably dont get them anymore.

Really how so? They pay their employees more money than their probably worth.. When was the last time the postal employees even considered a reduction in pay to help stem the flow of red? They have a union right? Right there is your answer.

My sister worked for them about 10 years ago. She made $11 and change as a sorter. That's not outrageous wages.

The contract drivers work for less than you and I.

Compared to crooked politicians taking bribes for thousands, they are pretty cheap.

$11 an hour 10 years ago was a pretty decent wage for what amounts to unskilled labor.
