A friend got written up because it was secured, but the gauge showed empty.

Appears they look at that as well.

Today we had a trailer come in with class 4.2 haz mat. The trailer was wearing class 3 placards and somebody crossed out the 3 and wrote 4.2 with a marker.

    They walk amongst us!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't TAMPERING with a placard against the law?

Back when I actually had a HAZMAT endorsement...I loaded one particular load and the shipper was out of placards for one of the classes they loaded........

When I asked about it.....they said to "Get some at the truck stop"

After some further discussion with his company and mine.....the load came off the trailer and stayed on the dock....I went on toward a different load

    Injun Thanks this.
