The truck I bought a few years ago was a 94 FLD Strimbu had.
I know that they took really good care of this truck, They are almost all FLAT haulers. I dont think I've seen a Strimbu Van ever. All though I have only seen his 1 yard up off I80 & Rt 7 in upper Warren,OH
They have a yard / terminal there at the corner of Im thinking Rt 82 and 7.
Plus, from what I hear he treats the O/O's respectfully to...
Thats hear SAY....
All the best with them.... Gotta let us know about the New Job...

They started payin mileage pay.I drove for them back in july.I was there a week and a day.If you are new, they will give you 3 weeks local training and send you out otr for 1 WEEK!!Then that is all the training you get.I did a week and a day of local. Then they told me to take a 52,000 pound steel coil to rhode island by myself????I spent half a day on the phone with these people tellin them no way...You cant put that on a student...They told me if i didnt do it I was terminated...So I quit..My life and the general motoring publics lives are not worth it..They do first in first out dispatch..Everyone said you will get alot of loads that no one wants to take cause of where they gotta go.....Just watch yourself and know what you are getting into with hauling coils and pipe.....If it dosnt work with them, check out yourga in wheatlend PA..Better trucks, but they pay percentage....
Tavonte Battles Thanks this. -
I see they're trucks around here in western PA alot. I want a job that I can be home during the week a bit and on weekends. I have almost a years exp. but its all tri-axle work here in PA, flatbeds and dumps. I am driving loaded trucks daily but driving TT again might take me a week or two to get back into the swing of things, literally lol. Anyone got any info on other reigonal flatbed companys around western PA, shoot some info in my thread please.

PGT, out of Monaco, Pa.

Last I heard PGT isn't hiring students right now.

go for P, I, and I out of sharon/youngstown. they have a training progam.
-
alrighty, I'll look into PI&I. I tried a few really local places, they didnt mind putting me in a truck but they all wanted me to be 23, it sucks hah. I got a new job a few weeks ago driving truck in a mine, just in and out of the mine and dumping on piles all day, talk about suck.
-
that sounds like a LOT of suck.....p i and i gives you free bc/bs, a union card, and a good 401k match. training pay isnt that great, but if you put your time in, it sounds like you can make good money there....
