its not a swamp cooler. if you would have read their claims, it reduces humidity. Funny...cause swamp coolers increase it. It's not a swamp cooler. It is, however, overpriced.walleye Thanks this.

This is where you are mistaken ... this is NOT an evaporative cooler (swamp cooler) The Go Cool takes moisture out of the air ... vs a swamp cooler that puts moisture in the air. The Go Cool uses the same principle as an air conditioner in your house ... except instead of a closed system using Freon ... it uses ice as the refrigerant.
Thus, acting as a true air conditioner. -
I must be in the in crowd... I mention swamp cooler in another thread and now every thread is about swamp coolers...
walleye Thanks this. -
Hey guys,
GTS2010 is correct. Go Cool is not an evaporative cooler. Although, it uses ice and water, at no time is the air exposed to either. Instead we use a coil to absorb heat from the air. This is a real air conditioner, that you can take with you when you're not on the road.
In regards to price, please know that we have worked really hard to get a quality product, that will run as hard as truckers do. This will save you money, everyday. Especially, if you're idling to stay cool while you sleep.
We're always interested in hearing your opinions and ideas about future tweaks, for sure. Keep them coming!

GoCoolBrad, can you please list the dimensions of this unit?
I couldn't find the info on the site -
you got it...
17.3" W x 20" D x 24" H -
Looks nice and if it wasnt for the dang price i'd buy one. But not for the truck. I should never have to buy anything like that for the truck, I should be allowed to keep myself cool--with company provided equipment, or by idling. But i'd like to have one for the garage......GoCoolBrad Thanks this.

That's a great point. We've been getting alot of interest from trucking companies & fleet managers/owners. When they factor in saved fuel and reduced maintenance costs, it adds up, especially for a fleet of trucks.
It's all about how much you idle now. If a driver idles 8-10 hours a day, (let's say # $2.50/gallon) it comes out to around $20 per day saved. For owner/operators this goes straight in their pocket right? -
for the same price you can buy an inverter and a real window unit and do this.
