I thought the steepest one I had been down was 11% on Pa 31 which is the Hazmat route around the Somerset tunnel on the Pa Pike. I ran the happy trail today Eastbound in my vehicle because the Pike was a parking lot from Irwin East.. There is a 14% grade on 31 heading East that I had never noticed before. There is absolutely nothing good about that road in the winter..lol..
Steepest grade you ever pulled or went down.....

Up here in alberta we have a hill just outside of Ft MacMurray that they call supertest. It starts out at 65% and at the top just under 78%. I do this run 3-4 times a week and when your dragging a 11 axle up it is literally a test of man and truck.

I really wonder what percentage that Ashburton Rd in Yonkers, NY is....i bet its not too far off from that! it felt like i was driving a rocket...

I would say hip boots, because a 78% grade is almost 45 degrees. 100% grade is 45 degrees.outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -

A simple google search of the steepest road in the world puts the grade at 37%.
You can see how steep the hills are with the pictures. 78% is an elevator, not a road.outerspacehillbilly, BIG RIGGER and Iceman_biker Thank this. -

I could pull this hill, slowly that is, but I don't think anybody would want to be at the bottom waiting on me if I went down it. LMAO
