Tow trucks are not allowed to come along and just tow any vehicle they want.if the vehicle was illegally parked, the parking enforcement or police have tow companies to take care of it.

Am I the only person here who gets irritated that everyone who drives a vehicle with a cab and a work platform of some kind are labeled "truck drivers" when the report is even mildly disparaging toward the individual?

I have seen this applied to furniture and linen delivery guys, those guys who drive those little box trucks around to fix plumbing, pickup trucks and tow trucks. When someone says, "truck driver" people think of the guy in the 18 wheeler, not these other vehicles.

Way too many of the general public believes that "truck drivers" are beneath them. They don't differentiate in size or types of truck at all. One idiot that used to harass truckers on the CB down around Ontario used to call us "glorified delivery boys."

My response to all of this is simply, "so what?" Who gives a rip what some idiot(s) think?

Heh - heh, tell the lawyer or doctor who is out driving around in his pickup truck that he is just a "truck driver!":biggrin_2559:

Dosnt matter if the cop was parked sideways in a loading zone in front of a fire hydrant blocking a crosswalk. he was responding to a call he can park wherever he wants.....even blocking traffic if he deems it necessary. Sounds like the towtruck driver was a few cards short of a full deck to try a boneheaded move like that.
