I was looking on their website for info regarding CDL training and I saw that they offered a school but I couldn't find anything about how much it was and how the application process went. I'm down in northeast Missouri and I am looking for my first driving job. I'm 23 so I'm well past some of the requirements. The only thing I was wondering is how the training was and so on.

    Thanks!

As someone who is in the process, I can help. First, you need to get the app in, then a recruiter should call you. If not, give them a call after a few days and see what's up. Their schooling costs $2800, which they will finance as long as your credit score is above 500. You won't have to pay it back as long as you drive for 120,000 miles with Roehl. They will email you a form for that that you need to fax to them. You are responsible for a $185 processing/testing fee, and if you need lodging in school add another $375 to that. That is not due until you set up your training date. That is out of your own pocket, plus living expenses while there, and any costs associated with getting your learners permit and CDL after graduation. And if you don't live in WI, plan on money for transferring your CDL to your home state. Once that is approved, they will run your motor vehicle record and background check, which takes a couple of days.

Once they do that, they will verify your employment, which also takes a few days. After all that is done, they will send out a packet with more forms to fill out and more details about the program.

They will then set up a DOT physical for you in your area. They pay for this. (If you're a bigger guy like me, please do not give the doc ANY indication that you snore, are ever tired, or anything like that on the questionnaire they have you fill out. They WILL say you're AT RISK for sleep apnea, issue you a temporary medical card, and make you get a sleep study done at your own cost. That is where I'm at now, waiting for that to get taken care of and freaking out about how I'm gonna pay for it).

Then you have to pick up a CDL Manual from your DMV, read it over, and go back there to take some written tests to get your learners permit. Once that is done, you are set to go to training!

Hope this helps. There are many posts from people who are either in training or have done it. Read them over and that should answer any questions about how that goes.

    Really?
The time really doesn't take a long time at all... It was pretty quick for me... Any company that does a thurough job in the beginning makes sense to me.
