I start Monday. I used to drive and got out of it for 10 years. As there is nothing available now and unemployment is running out I need a job. So after much research I am leaving for Fontana tomorrow night. No one will take me w/o taking a course but central seemed to be the best. will try to keep everyone updated. Wish me luck

Were you in Fontana this morning? I saw a red Prostar with front bumped damage like I guess you have.

I5, exit 99. It's the Seven Feathers Casino, but don't go to the Casino. Go to the truck stop and hit up their 24 hour restaurant. It's not your usual truck stop fare, they feature a northwest menu, and there's a lot of good sounding stuff: grilled oysters, almond apple stuffed pork chops, salmon, and steaks.

Try the tri-tip, you get an 8 ounce cut that's smokey, juicy, and tender. It was so good that I nearly ate the whole thing, and if I had, i'd have been sick. But seriously, excellent food. A little more than truck stop fare, but not much, the tri-tip was $15.99 and came with soup or salad, veggies, rice/potato and a dinner roll.

And they have home made Oregon Blackberry cobbler, for $3.99. We split one and it was so good.

didnt know it was so tough for people to follow directions.... 4 wheelers waiting for the last minute to get over when the lanes merge in a construction zone, AFTER there were signs for the last 4 miles. Drivers who park over night where there is a no parking sign making it hard for other drivers to get out. Lazy Central drivers who cant follow the guard's directions and unhook to go park in the bobtail area at CRSIR.
If they dont want anyone to take their empty trailer then they should put a kingpin lock on it... hell they paid $80 for it might as well use it.

Im just waiting for the day when Central Freight Lines says no more overnight parking because of the few who cant follow instruction. I couldnt even drop my cheese load there because of all the CFL empties, our trls and the 4 drivers that are parked inside with the trls when they are not supposed to. When i go drop the my cheese tomorrow im going to suggest to the guard that one of them should go patrol that area at night and kick out the drivers that are parked there. :biggrin_25510:

Still in North Bend WA. Finishing out an unwanted 34 then headed to my 01 then down to the WVDC.

I will say that other than my mishhap, this is a nice place to do a 34. Quiet and surrounded by mountains.
