Also, starting next month, all pre trip infractions, and, infractions coming from dot inspections at chicken houses and rest areas, will go on your permanant drving record just like moving violations..also the company you work for will be held accountable for any violations that a driver receives working for them..

Exactly. There are no "warning tickets".. what that means is even if you get a warning ticket, it's still goes on your record. There's going to be changes gentlemen..you can bank on it.

I don't know. I suspect it's going to be the same old story, blame the driver. My last outfit was already under CSA and the Safety director preached about the importance of pre-trips and the goal of zero-violations. The problem was portrayed as lazy drivers not pretripping their trucks. Both the warning tickets I received were for things I had written up some time before and had been put off by Maintenance until it "had" to be fixed.

Evidently you need to learn the reason for the pretrip and why you were at fault.

I think you have been listening to the wrong people or something.
    Your information is flawed.

The violations/ warnings counting on your record will not start in a month, they have all of them for the last 3 years already. All of them will count. Not just new ones.

Yes, company's will carry the points that you carry for 2 years. Even if you had those points from a prior job. And even if you leave your company, the company that you recieved those points with will keep there share of them for 2 years. They will not go away just because you left.

These points are not on your driving record. Not like a ticket is. Because they are not really attached to your drivers license. They are safety points that are on you. They are totally different than points from moving violations.
If you get too many points on your license for moving violations you will eventually loose your license. Safety points are not like that. The way that the regulation is set up now they do not have the power to take your license for safety points under CSA2010.
You can get 2000000 of them and not loose your license. BUT, nobody would hire you. You will have your license still, but what company would want a driver with a really poor safety rating? Nobody will hire these drivers and they will need to find a new way to make a living for 3 years while the points go away.

I had a lot of time on my hands during the 6 months or so before I went to driving school. I read hundreds, likely over 1000, of pages of info about CSA 2010. What you have posted, ChromeDome, dovetails perfectly with what I have read. Apparently, you've done your own share of fact-based study.

There's so much "truckstop BS" floating around about CSA 2010 and I'm amazed that it (CSA 2010) is still called "the new regulations". CSA 2010 DID NOT add anything to the FMCSR, it just gave it new and sharper teeth.
