And just to let everyone know, my ad here is under "Seek Employment"...the title is "Driver seeking either O/O or co-driver in central NC..." for those of y'all who want to take a peek at it...
I'm still in high hopes of finding the right copilot. I'm hardworking, dedicated and focused...but above all, safe. And I'd really prefer a male co-driver. I tend to get along better with guys than I do with women.

Well, Everyone, I'm still here and still looking. My computer has been rather finicky lately and I haven't been able to do much. But now it's fixed, I can go back to working at finding a good co-driver. A lot of things have happened since I last posted and let's just say that none of it has been very good. I'm too stubborn to quit now. So, if you think you're the right co-driver for me, here I am, waiting for ya to either email me or pm me. I'll be around and anticipating the day when I can get back to work! I ain't hard to get along with, honest! ;)

Could your company take on a brand new driver with only a newly acquired Learner's permit CDL-A? (no endorsements yet). As your Co-Driver,

I'm so eager to try to start, and the experience would be so tremendously important to me. I'm living in Burlington, NC. I read your message, and kicking myself I wish I was and OTR already. what can I do to make this happen, as your co-driver?

Don't give up on me, NC 38Special!!
    Thanks!

Hi mltma, how do I contact you aside from here? We need to talk more...I may have some info you need to know. It was just as difficult for me when I first started, so I know how it is. And no, I won't give up on you. I don't like giving up on anyone who is sincerely wanting to work in this industry.

There may be exceptions to the rule, but when I first saw this post I was getting ready to graduate from CDL school and contacted BCJ. They told me I needed 1 year OTR to hire on so I never give them a second thought. The situation going in with an experienced driver who all ready works for the company maybe create some lee-way, but I'd give them a call before you put all of your eggs in one basket.

Good luck with whichever road you take. :smurf:

(I seem to be having problems sending out a "private message" to you, so I'm trying this route)

    Hi NC_38Special,

My private email; is under the same name, under hotmail

Understanding that I may have to go to a Trucking School, at the very least, in order to remotely be considered for hire in OTR experience. But, when I read your post, I thought, any experience you could provide to me, I would be glad to be your co-driver, provided that BCJ would except me as yours.

I'm collecting unemployment, after working for a company for 8 years in the graphics art field. Always thought about trucking, and decided now that my life has shifted to a new beginning, decided to pursue it. Currently, saving up for the class.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity, to listen. If you consider me, within email, I'll post my number, to discuss this further.

    Thanks again!!

That is very good advise, and believed that would be the case. I'm Saving up right now, and want "hands on" experience, if I can get it, now.

    Thank you!

Do you have to live in North Carolina or what?
I ran teams out to the west coast and back and I assume that is what this company does.

countrycuz, yeppers, that's all they run out west and back. And yes, I'm 25 miles east of Greensboro...I also noted that you have 8 yrs experience. And this company is in Mt. Airy, NC...but how would you justify driving so far from SC to Mt. Airy? I'm asking because you might know something I don't...let me know your thoughts...
