What do EGTs look like on a 725 stage 1 program on stock turbo/s and stock mufflers still on the truck?
-
x2 on this
-
I just got off the phone with Mr. Haney and we had a nice chat, he recommended me stayin with a stage 1 with the same Personality Module Code i have now, its bone stock set at 475 HP, which would get me to around 650hp with .5- 1 mpg increase, so i think im goin that way..
Any of you guys running a tune like this out there? how about my stock clutch, will it handle the power? -
Wow when I get my truck I will be talking to you Mr. Haney. Do you only do Cat or do you do DD and Cummins?
-
Depends on the truck, but advancing the timing reduces EGT's. I always recommend that you change the stock mufflers to something that's free flowing. Donaldson M100463 is a great muffler if you want to keep mufflers on the truck this will also lowrer EGT's

PDI can do Cat Cummins and DD. Even the newer engines can have the files modified to disable the EGR system. This helps fuel mileage tremendously

Mr Haney got your loaner ECM, is already installed on my truck, I'm posting here just to leave my impressions, so far the loaner makes my motor perform much better, you can tell the difference on horse power and my truck has never been known around here for being weak, also the engine is smoother (?) I don't know why, but it is, so far you have delivered what you've promise, but it exceeded my expectation, judging by the loaner ECM I think I'm going to be a happy trucker when I get the final and intended result, I'll call you tomorrow to let you know when my ECM will arrive at your place. Thank you so much. Eddy.

T800H, glad to see you got it. The timing changes make the engine run smoother and rev freely this is also what also gives you better throttle response and a fuel mileage increase.
kenw007 Thanks this.
