I'm interested to know how many cent's per mile CRE starts at and how many miles they are expectin you to pull per month. Is it higher or lower. I know here in Texas a couple of companies are posting CDL jobs on the Texas Workforce website offerin "$10.00/hour". I'm new on this her board and not the sharpest tool in the shed, but $10.00/hour seems kinda low for drivin truck.

CRE have a sliding payscale. In the trucking world when you hear those two words linked together RUN!
When I was there anybody with 0-6 months experience could expect the princely sum of 26c p/m for anything over 700 miles. It is the lowest you can get on the payscale. I worked there 6 months to break back in. You can bet that every single run I had was in that pay rate. I have the paper work to prove it. They make darn sure they pay the least for the most.
$10 an hour is a complete ripoff. Last week I took home $1024. This week it will pronbably around $700. That is take home not gross, again TAKE HOME! $10 / hr I should cocoa. You must be joking. -
Has anyone heard from fawne? I wonder how her adventure with cre has gone?

I hope she has beaten the odds, I hope she wasn't a recruiter or from the sales department of cre,
It be great to hear from the ones that are legit and say hey, it wasn't smooth like butter, but its do able, instead of doomsday stuff we hear,
reasoning why I am all ears is because, cre is the only company knocking at the doors and I'm out of work, and I'll do teams if I half to for 6 months-year, I wont lease, and don't really want to feel like I am in a middle of con artist-ville
to many horror stories, and for a greenhorn like myself trying to filter out what is what..
I'm no Sherlock Holmes

You do what you have to do to put food on the table. When the job is approached from a mature standpoint, and you are looking at a goal, such as getting enough experience to move to a good company, you will be much better off. It is the folks who read the threads and think, "well THAT couldn't happen to ME," that sort of make me feel kind of sick. Because, YES, it probably WILL happen to YOU.
And then when it does, it is these "starry eyed optimists," that are first in line whining and moaning about how "unfair" things are. The rest of us know darn well that life is unfair, but we have to do what has to be done to pay our dues.
Good luck Toro, you sound like you are mature enough to make it in this job.bonbonsron and Toro Thank this. -
Hi everyone sorry if I have not kept in touch. I have gone through the crengland course. Their pad trainers are really very good. I don't think I can make many comments that are bad about them considering that if someone came in here and tried to they could fire me at any moment. I will state however that there is a reason that people do complain about England. I hope that they treat me well. Thats all I have to say.
I have been here once every week or two following up. If anything happens to jump out at me I will say so. -
