Since any investigation will be on those in the high( or low depending on perspective) your ascertation that lights go out on everyone will be reflected in your peer group. if it is anywhere near as common as you say it would not highlite you for an audit.Again get over the word points. It is where you and your company rank against carriers of your size. It is not about XXXX points is bad, or XXXX is good, the faster everyone comes to grips ith that fact the better.

I'm not in the least concerned about my companies score, or the chance of an audit.

I'm concerned about mine, as it will effect my ability to get a job if my company closes.

Ya'll can lighten up now. Everything gonna be alright. Tazz said it will. There won't be Any B.S tickets written. All the DOT boys are taking a refresher course on being far and not writing B.S tickets Esp Tx, Tn, and Cali. All of them including the one who told me I was supposed to have a local logbook are all straight now. No one will loose there jobs just because the co. can hire a cdl mill grad with no points against him.At a third of the pay by the way. And speaking of pay,it will at least triple in the next year or 2 guaranteed.Oh everyone will have a new truck with chrome everywhere. It will be great.

Here's another cheap shot across the bow...for all of you to chew on.

Just in case you haven't been following the latest ATA protest.

This "none issue" some within the forum like to speak of regarding the CSA, was spoken of plainly with the FMCSA response to the ATA complaint.

Roadside stops of drivers, that lead to an inspection, will be logged as a warning in their file.

A warning for what ?? According to the FMCSA, it will be a warning about speeding. Since their research shows the vast majority of roadside inspections are clearly instigated by the fact the driver was speeding when the officer made the stop. In plain English...speed was the reason for the stop.

The argument is whether or not to put a check box on the inspection form, attributing the stop for speeding or other reasons.

For the moment...there will be NO check box. And will most likely take up to 2 years before they revisit the issue. Until that time, ALL roadside stops that lead to an inspection will be filed as "speeding". Is this the peer group you want to be put in ???

But this shouldn't bother the all knowing Wizard of Oz. Since he can't find it within the CSA web pages.

Was reading an article about some of the cos. involved in the pilot program. One out of kennasaw ga. had a high point total in one basic. they took care of it. they cut the trucks back from 71 to 67 and anyone who has 3 speeding tickets or WARNINGS in 3 years are gone. so now you say that any time they stop you for an inspection you will have a speed warning.that's nice. Another little wrinkle that they don't say too much about is if you forget to sign your log, that is a driver fatigue issue.

Boy, this will be interesting. I got a level one when I was doing 62 in a 70 zone. Better not have anything about speeding in it.

I'm not sure how they'll work this. Whether it will be in the actual "file" or no. I just know what they are attributing the roadside inspections to, speed.

Roadside meaning you were pulled over, then inspected when stopped. Not waved down out of traffic, for a quickee on the shoulder...as is common in my area.

But you do have to wonder, Will they do/say something if you get nailed 5,6 or 7 times, with a roadside inspection ? Even if you pass them all ??

He pulled next to me and indicated he wanted to speak on the radio. Pulled over for the level 1.
