Triple C Transport in Doniphan NE is a JOKE!!!! On June the 7th # the 147 mm in Kansas my trator trailer was picked up by a tornado. There was no warning or anything. It picked me and my wife up about 50ft in the air rolled us over carried us about 85ft back in the other direction and then slammed us to the ground. After the fire dept cut the roof off the truck and cut me and my wife out of the seatbelts, they transported us to Hayes Medical Center in Hayes Kansas. The owner Craig White came to Kansas from Nebraska and picked us up. He took us out to where the truck was still on its side and I tried to crawl back through the roof and get some of mine and my wifes things. We could not get the cabinets open and I was only able to get some of our stuff. We lost almost everything, my wifes purse all her jewelery, most of her cloths and everything of mine. Craig White said dont worry we will be bringing the truck back to the yard in Nebraska, you will be able to get your stuff then. He took us back to the yard in Nebraska and put us out at the bunk house. We had not had anything all day and he did not even offer to stop and buy us a drink!!! The next morning they came and told me I had to go and take a drug test, I went and ofcourse I passed!!! Me and my wife stayed at the bunk house for 3 days on the 3rd day they came and asked me if I filled my RXS and I told them know, I filled my wifes because of the concusion and her face being swollen so bad with one eye completly swollen shut and the other half way swollen shut I thought she needed hers worse that I needed mine. They said good we have loads all over and you need to get in the truck and go! So without any follow up care here we go again with me still hurting all over and my wifes face all messed up!!! We ran non stop again for another 3 and a half weeks, we told them we had mail at home in FL from workmans comp and had not been home for over 2 months and needed to go home. We needed to be checked out by our doctors, and had home business we needed to take care of. At that time my wife called and talked to Shawn in dispatch and asked him with the upcoming holiday what days would be good for him, he told us June 29th, 30th, and July 1, to load back out on July2nd. We agreeded and confirned this on the People Net system like Shawn said to do. So we continued to run with the next load thinking after that would be our load home. They brought us all the way from SC where we unloaded to Nebraska. When I got there it was on a Saturday and they had put a load in my mailbox that had to be delivered in Commerce City CO on that Monday. The trailer had already been loaded by another driver and was on the yard waiting for me. I left with it on Sunday, as soon as I hooked to the trailer I realized the axles were really bad out of alignment. I called the shop phone and talked to Tyler, he told me to go on with the trailer and get it unloaded and he would notify dispatch no to load the trailer again untill it was fixed, since it was on Sunday I agreeded to take it on. (BIG MISTAKE) It was so out of alignment the outter tire was riding in the rumble lane, and the inner tire was riding the white line> knocking down construction cones and everything!!! I finally made it to Commerce City that night to deliver the next morning. The next morning I was going to trun right to get to my delivery and when I did the trailer was so bad it jumped up on the curb and the people waiting for the bus had to jump out of the way. I got the trailer unloaded and called Tyler to ask him where to take the tralier to get it fixed and he told me to call him back from the Sapp Brothers Shop. So while I was driving right around the corner to the Sapp Bros, they sent me a load over the People Net. (from Denver to PA) I called dispatch and toold them what the shop had told me to do, to go and have the trailer fixed, and not to load it untill it was fixed!! John in dispatch said so you are telling me you are refusing the load, I told him yes, and what had happened that morning and he hung up on me!! The owner called me had told me they were not going to fix the trailer and to go and load it, or to just bring his truck and trailer to the yard and we could get back to FL the best way we could. I had already placed the trailer out of service on my logs and told Craig White that and he said he did not care just to get his equipment to the yard and I was fired> at that time the Commerce City police dept came through at the Sapp Bros, and I asked him to call the DOT out and told him what was going on. He told me he was DOT and would inspect the trailer for me and if it was ok I could go on with the equipment. He found 3 air leaks and a visible misalignment of the trailer the welded brackets that hold it in place were completly gone, and all the insides. He placed the trailer out of service also. So now they have no choice but to fix it. They had me fax the inspection to them on Tuesday morning. They told they could not get it in Sapp Bros. till Thursday morning. So me and my wife sat with there equipment till then, on Thursday morning we got in at Sapp Bros and they said it was so bad they could no fix it, that I would have to go to a trailer repaire shop. We took it to the shop and they said it was so bad that everytime I was making a right hand turn it was swinging over at least 3 and a half feet that I should have never left with it and they could no belive the comp. forced me to drive it like that. They finally got the trailer fixed on Friday and I was to just to come to the yard in Nebraska, that there was no loads in CO. So we did. We were stuck there the whole weekend, with no money, (they shut my fuel card and $50 weekly advance off) and locked my truck and trailer in the shop and left till Monday. They came in on Monday and told me I was fired that since the tornado there insurance comp did not want to insure me anymore!! Which I know was a lie because I called them the next and and was told you have a clean driving record why would we not insure you. All of this was just a lie because I made them repaire the trailer!! They stole my last 2 paychecks for no reason at all they even tried to make me pay for a repaire to a truck that was not even mine!!! They never paid the recovery bill to the towing company that recovered the truck from the tornado untill this week, and now we are home and all of our stuff is in the totaled truck in Nebrasas. These people screwed me so bad it was just crazy!! Me and my wife almost lost our lives for them and it still was not enough!!! They had to complete everything by STEALING from me and stranding us almost 2000 miles from home!!! The wonderful folks a Truckers Charity got me and my wife to our home, and my fellow drivers gave us money to eat and so we would have a little money once we got home!!! Truckers Charity (truckercharity.org) is just unbeliveable they did everything they possible could for us. They are a nonprofit orginization and all donations are 100 percent used for drivers in all kinds of situations. Lance, his wife, and Kenny are great people and have all kinds of contacts, and information you could possibly need!!! Thanks for reaading maybe this will help you if you are thinking about signing on with TRIPLE C TRANSPORT!!!:biggrin_25513:

Man that was ONE long ARSED paragraph and hard to read! I fixed all the misspellings and most of the grammer except for one sentence I couldn't figure out about the stealing of their stuff.

I do feel for this guy and have to say that Triple C Transport gets my seal of approval to be called a Bottom Feeder Inc. Company! Congratulations Triple C!

Now Huff, I highly reccomend you go to HireRights website or as most drivers call them, DAC, and look through the site and find the box you need to click on that will have a copy of your report sent to you when another company that you do an application with asks for your report. You will then get one and not have to ask for your free one!

AND I forgot, Welcome to The Truckers Report! Before you waste your time filling out applications do a search of the company you are applying to or want to and after you read through pages of negitive reports don't waste your time appling with them! To do a search look up and see that darker bar across the page? It starts with the words User CP then Truckers Blogs and so on till you see the word Search. click it and fill it in!

A tip: I highly reccomend that you apply to companies close to home! This 2000 mile away crapola is stupid. Everyone that read this, you saw where Huff and his wife had to go 2000 miles to get home? thats a large bus ticket WITHOUT any luggage but what if they had all of their stuff? Greyhound charges $50 fo every checked piece over the 1 they allow each passenger! A car rental might be a little cheaper but for those 2000 miles that can be steep! If you hire on with someone close by then drive your car there or drive it 2000 miles to the yard, NEVER leave yourself open to a Bottom Feeder Inc. to strand your arse either at a yard that far away from home or even farther ON THE ROAD!

Now you have to get back there to save your wifes purse and recover the rest of your stuff. If she had any personal information in her purse like a credit card social security card or other stuff you need to get it! Or at least have the CC turned off and she can have her SSN changed but I would not have stopped trying to get this stuff from out of the truck! A pry bar would have opened thoose cheap cabinets! The truck was a total after that flight it took! Any body that tries to rebuild it is out of their minds!

I forgot to ask that! It is kind of curious. And doesn't it affect the workers comp because they went back to work without a doctors release?

This is a BLATANT example of "Wrongful Termination" covered under the STAA through OSHA...as long as all the elements in the statement are true. If you have, or can document your situation with regard to the trailer and it's illegal use (by the DOT inspection) and putting out of service by a qualified DOT inspector...you have a strong case through OSHA. Keep in mind that, when the OSHA investigator takes your statement, then interviews the employer...9 times out of ten...OSHA sides with the employer and finds "No Merit" in the case...at this point you ALWAYS file for the appeal with the Administrative Law Judge...in most cases you might want to get an attorney, but you can represent yourself and win. The ALJ is not as formal as a regular court, and generally sides with the filing employee (Claimant).

Contact your local OSHA office and report this immediately....then contact (through this forum) Truckrswife...she will help you guys out and give you some sound advice on how to proceed. Since your post count is low..contact her through any moderator with a PM message.

Good Luck....and don't waste time calling OSHA!

Print out your post here....or better print out Rollover's cleaned up version. Take some time and write yourself a complete report about the incident...names, places, dates and times....as soon as you can...the sooner you do it the better your recollection of the account is!

We had no choice but to go back out they made me wite a statement THAT AT THIS TIME I DID NOT NEED ANY MEDICAL CARE and that was how I worded it. My atty says that the statement is not valid because I signed it under diress. I am not going to drive anymore, I had already had bi-pass surgery in 2005, and now with the injuries from the tornado I cant even hardly get in and out of the truck anymore, sit for long periods of time, or even work the landing gear. So I guess I am done!! I mean what are you supposto do when they litterally force you!!!

We documented everything, Logs, pictures of the trailer, DOT out of service sheet, the DOT officers business card, and the reciept from the shop for the repaires and all the work that had to be done to the trailer. We have a record of everything and have already filed a formal complaint with OSHA in Oklahoma. And OSAH also told us to ask for a formal investigation through the Surface Transportation Act. And we also have already hired a attorney.

Excellent....your attorney should know how to proceed from this point...but if you (or your attorney) wish any helpful information please feel free to contact myself or my wife...we went through quite the experience with this, I represented myself...actually it was quite fun stepping out of the truck into the courtroom...invigorating for sure. Will PM you with contact info!

Our Atty has contacted them and told them to recover our belongings and if they wont pay the poastage to get them to us that they will. I really think that the reason they sat me up with that trailer was because we had been asking about our stuff and after at least 10 phone calls to the company asking about our stuff they figured that the bad trailer would be a good way to get rid of me, but when I placed it out of service, and then DOT did to I screwed that plan up.
