Your question ignores drivers who leave to go regional with another carrier, or go closer to home after thier OTR initiation.
You sound like you just want to argue, and belittle someone.
Maybe YOU are in the wrong business?

I don't know how you figure things but the way I do math if they had 5898 drivers in September 2008 and 5898 drivers in December 2009 and hired hundreds of trainees during that time the number of people no longer with them equals the number of trainees they hired .
I can't wait to hear your response .[/QUOTE]

i read about all the guys going to us express,beware.. its probably good for students, but for experianced drivers you can do better. at their terminals they show all the shiny new trucks in front, those arent for you, thyre for lease purchase. everyone in my orientation class in feb 2010 got a bus ticket to a abandoned truck left my another driver at a truck stop..you clean it.. they love to send you to tractor supply,in hagerstown maryland to do 100 mile.2 stop loads, youll make about 90 dollars for 12 hours of work. they use electronic logging which is prone to breakdown, when it does it puts you on..on duty..when youre off duty, wasting your logging hours.its up to you to get the problem fixed, you make lots of phone calls to a busy line.they do have long distance loads but it only pays 32 cents a mile. the 34 hour restart is mandatory.they want you to sign your name electronically on the computer board at orientation, but they never show you what youre signing.its company fines from 100 dollars to 500 dollars for tickets, overwheight fines, dot violations, long list...beware...
