Hey MD, Yeah things are going fairly well. The only thing that I have had problems with at times is after hours dispatch but haven't had to deal with them much lately. Today someone screwed up somewhere and noone seems to know who. Had to get a drop arrival time changed as I didn't have the hours to get here so they changed it to 1500 today and I was here at 1415. Go in and the woman says that Roehl called and said I couldn't make it until 1700 so they reset the appt for tomorrow. I was asked two or three times about my ETA and told them 1500 every time so don't know why in the hell they would call and say that but oh well. Sitting at the drop place overnight and supposedly will start to be unloaded at 0800 tomorrow and then rolling down to Denver for a load going to Davenport. Reading some of the other post seems that alot of folks aren't getting miles or getting home. All I can say is that I am running my ### off. The last two weeks I have had to do a reset after day 6 to being out of hours. Since getting my regular dispatcher things have been very good.
The Challenger and MD STEELERS FAN Thank this. -
Fortunate change of plans. Just as I was getting ready to stroll about town got a knock on the door and a guy said they would unload me. So got her backed in and helped get the furniture off and still had a couple hours left on the 14. Grabbed a quick shower and headed on into Colorado. Overnighting at Johnson's Corner TS in Loveland, CO. I can recommend the steak burritos, tasty, big and fairly priced. Rolling into the Purina plant in the morning, they are open 24/7 so should be able to get in and get out of Denver before much traffic and if I run really hard can make it back to the Horseshoe for dinner
Can you park at the casino or do you walk over from the truckstop in Council Bluffs?
For your question Gypsy I see more Roehl trucks running back and forth across I-80 from Gary to Pennsylvania than any other place. I estimate seeing 10-12 running the other direction each time I drive along that path along with seeing several others heading in my direction stopped in the Ohio service plazas. -
Back in Council Bluffs tonight. Had another hour to run but decided to stop where I could get a shower as the a/c is not functioning again and pretty #### sweaty the last hours of the drive. Guess I will be back in Gary again tomorrow night trying to get the #### thing fixed. Other than that another day of smooth sailing. Got in and out of the Purina plant quick (79790 on board).

Reckon how come ac don't lay down in March or April?

Today temp . Indiana 95 high humditiy . I hope you get your ac back on line . Way to hot . I bet your truck gota be hot .
GLTA -
Weather somewhat cooperated today as cloudy and drizzling rain off and on so it kept the temp below 90 for the most part so the a/c functioned well. Got the Purina load off without a hitch and then dispatched to Waterloo, IA to a Conagra plant for another preloaded trailer going to Lebanon, IN. Picked up the trailer and made it back to atalissa, IA. Wanted to get back to the Iowa 80 but 14 ended as I hit the Pilot here. Got a preplan already to pick up in Indy and run to Wisconsin Dells, WI. Perhaps they are planning on sending me to Marshfield to let them have a go at this a/c problem after that load. Starting to have dreams about driving at night, guess these back to back to back..... 14 hours days are setting in on me

Glad I had 45K in the box this morning as I drove through some hellacious rain and wind in eastern Iowa this morning. Dropped without problem and called in to see if they had been working on getting my appt time changed (I requested that they do this early Friday as soon as I got the preplan as the appt was for tomorrow at 1300 and I told them I could be there at 1400 today). Well noone had gotten the time changed so I drove on down to the shipper and no go and noone at Roehl was able to get appt. changed. I requested to get another load somewhere and let someone else pick this one up tomorrow so as not to waste time but no go on that. Called in to request a hotel room as it was 104 degrees heat index here and I ain't got no a/c. Waited over 1 hour on hold and finally called back to breakdown and got connected to someone. They okeyed the hotel which is good as sleeping in that heat would have been tough.
Can't complain too much as I have been steady running for the last 3 weeks but at times pretty annoying that things can be so disorganized. The Challenger Thanks this. -
Sounds like you have been working hard and running those wheels off... On my way out in the AM and heading to Stevens Point. Hoping to be finished with Evo 2 quick and in a truck of my own... stay cool and safe!

I'll be up there in Wisconsin with you tomorrow. Easy day today as I just loaded and drove from Indy to Gary and put in to have the a/c looked at again. Gave me a chance to get to the grocery store and pick up a couple of things. Truck still not in the shop though after nearly 5 hours. Got a bunk room though so fixing to hit the hay and get up and out of here around 4:30 or so to beat the Windy City traffic.
