I ran into a driver who had a fitzgerald glider, an '08 or '09 coronado (i forget) with a reman completely stock detroit 12.7L and he kept good records every time he fueled. He was at 6.8mpg on 200,000k miles with 3:55's (or 3:58's my memory is fuzzy this was about 6 months ago) rears 10 spd overdrive and 24.5 lopros. The truck was a company ride governed at 75mph with a genset so he never idled. He said he always got better than 6.5 no matter how heavy and with lighter loads could do better than 7. The only drawback to Coronado's is they are heavy. It also had cheap looking Century Class style gauges that could easily be upgraded but other than that it was a sweet ride. Fitzgerald does an excellent job on these trucks the wiring harnesses and everything is very cleanly installed. The motor was painted to match the truck. I'd like to have one of their gliders...

I see the same freightliner columbia with gliderkit somebody now how is the mpg for this truck thanks for you answers

Personally if your going to get a remanufactured truck I would go with the 13 speed over a 10. Just my 2 pennies.

i m not sure about the freightliner gliders, but i read about a 389 pete glider kit with a pittsburg power cat and an 18spd getting close to 8mpg.

The majority of the Coronado/Columbia glider kits have the 12.7 reman detroit without EGR mess so I would guess high 6's without any doodling and better with the Pittsburgh box and special tricks with the 12.7 Detroit. Now put a 6NZ cat and pittsburgh box, free flow mufflers and you probably get better.

YEAH! but did you see th price on the 6nz pitt's ?
