must be nice to be able to treat yourself like a dog. Does your dispatcher go without heat and ac as well?

I no longer work for werner, i work for a real company now. But uhm, I've noticed theres a lot of different ways APUs can be installed. My truck was a cascadia with fairings, and therefore the tanks were rearset. The location the APU was in was the only place it could be put. It only affected backing on weird inclines with 42 inch kingpin trailers. Company basically told me it was my fault and i should have gotten out and looked.

I work for a company now that lets me just idle the truck. Makes far more sense than an apu.

Since this is a thread about sleeping in *winter*....my truck does have a webasto. :)

Do you have a car? Do you have a bicycle? Do you eat? Why waste all that money on eating? If you spend $10 to eat a day you're spending $3650 a year on food!

We have APUs - TriPacs mostly. Keeps me cool in the summer, and the Webasto keeps me warm in the winter. Lots of power for ac stuff. And, unlike your former employer, mine doesn't have a problem keeping things repaired.

People sleep outside in winter...for fun!

Get a good sleeping bag and a nice down blanket. You will be warm down to -40 if you are layered right.
