1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

So their telling you to go back to school because its been longer than 90 days. What part of that don't you understand?

What and how many companies have you applied to? The felony from 11 years ago is no big deal. Sure, it doesn't help because I don't think you can get into Canada, but eitherway most companies will work with that, and besides there are a lot of big companies that don't go there anyway. I know because I have two felony's, one being assault, and they are only 7 years old. Granted, I had 5 years driving experience when I got into trouble. The 90 days without working and not continueing your driving, is the bigger deal, IMO. The ole saying "you loose what you don't use" is kinda critical to a newbie, so they are probably worried that you lost what little you learned in school. Regardless, I'm sure some company would put you with a trainer. Have you contacted your school to see if they could help? Good luck.

Lego is onto something for you

I also recommend getting your record expunged if possible....

It sounds bad but if you can get it fully expunged, there's a huge chance that a trucking company won't be able to see it on your record.

You def need to do some more digging about your schooling though. Might be able to take a quick refresher course or something.

Crispy, don't forget about the local haulers. Those being gravel haulers, loggers, lumber companies, refuse (garbage) haulers, and the list goes on.
I believe that the majority of them don't use DAC, and many of them also are more forgiving (shall we say) about your experience level.

well if your 27 now that means your felony was when you were a minor it should not be on your record. All juvenile charges should be sealed unles it was so bad that you were charged as an adult!!!

Yes, most companies insurance require that you immediately start with a company after school. I think like 60-days is the max after you graduate school and then you have to take a refresher course. I was out for a year and when I went back they hired me buy required I rode with a trainer for two weeks. Why don't you try going to one of these companies that have a school and just go through a little refresher with them before you go with your trainer. That may be the easiest route.
