Were gonna need more info then just that.
What kind of truck(color, make, model, special stickers and such)
A trailer with solid red stripes down the side or a fancy look?
Where exactly is waterford, CA
Anywho, 2 weeks on with this new fleet and the miles are staying extremely consistent 2900 -3100 a week no sit time just go go go go go. Easy runs nothing over 776 miles. Preset as soon as I pick up a load, and on top of that I'm home 2 times a week for a 10hr but I'm never running over 10 hrs a day so its keeping my 70 right where it needs to be.
Well keep the rubber side down and drive safe everybody.
Hey jess I still owe ya that steak dinner, maybe if I get a load to spokane I will drop in and say hi. If u still live in idaho?

JJ is working for a new company now running 7 western states!! So we should meet somewhere on our travels lol!

tell me about it... they loaded with one pallet of kegs with nothing around it so ANY bump the kegs are on the floor. I had to use 5 load locks. 3 vertical behind the kegs from floor to ceiling and 2 horizontal across the front. None of my lemonades were broken though. I can just imagine if i didnt restack it.
kegs flying around back there and hits the lemonade near the floor then i could lose the whole pallet of lemonade. Even if they lose one case most beer distributors still take the osd. They all have someone in the back with bottles from other broken cases from their route trucks to make a whole new case.

That is allot of Moles.
I do not miss load locks.
My company does not use them and they ask the drivers not to use them.
All the trucks are set up for strap systems, but they do not give us straps lol.
I have acquired a few since I got here, and try to never have to drop them with a trailer. Though if I am going to a shipper that requires them and I do not have any the company will let me buy at a truck stop and give me the money back.
I use to have 2 of the good ones that actually are designed to clip to the sides of the trailer and have a real ratchet. These are the ones that the DOT likes.
At the moment I am down to 2 cheap 1 inch ones. One has a ratchet the other does not. And they just have hooks on the ends.
The good ones are great though. They have a fairly high weight rating and a nice large ratchet. They clip into the walls at any level and do not move. -
I havent seen any reefers that use straps.

put in my mac 6 for 7/29 0001. $100 says they preset me with a load 250 miles away from Missoula for 7/28 in the afternoon when i dont have hrs. I let them know the situation then i get "oh, its ok... its a preload" then the next load ends up on borrowed time again.
-
I am not sure if they use them in reefers, maybe something to do with the insulation.
The tracks for them are about every 3 feet on the walls, will just look like a rail with slots.
I cannot remember if any of Centrals trailers had them or not.
All our trailers are Wabash, so maybe they would have them on some of the newer Wabash trailers that they started to buy when I was with them.
At the time I had not seen the straps though, so I would not have looked for them in the trailers. Much much better than any load lock though. I never had much luck with the load locks, they liked to fall allot.
You use 2 load locks one top and one bottom, and one will be on the floor when you open the doors every time.
