All right! I asked a simple question about having a scanner in a semi. Some of these posts having nothing to do with this thread! And the above link does not distinguish any type of vehicle. SO is there a link that shows what the scanner laws are if any for having one in a semi???

Scanner Laws are well past outdated, just like the redundant FCC clatter.
Here are a few old links, all of which take you in a circle when your done.
If the LEO cant prove you had intent to commit a crime,he has no issue with the device in the vehicle,Commercial or otherwise.

Thanks for the links... I have noticed that no one seems to address anything in those links as to how they would pertain to a semi. They probably don't even think about that when posting the laws

I ran one for years(always Bearcat) then they went to the "trunking systems"
back in the 90's and I never hook another one up.
I got a sweet deal on my 996XT and it works like a dream on 18 wheels
I would never pay full retail for this unit, but is was well worth the $350(shipped off eBay)
The prices on the 996 should be down abit now,its a good unit as well. -
Old outdated info..................
check for yourself !!!!!!!!!!!
