    All right! I asked a simple question about having a scanner in a semi. Some of these posts having nothing to do with this thread! And the above link does not distinguish any type of vehicle. SO is there a link that shows what the scanner laws are if any for having one in a semi???

    Thanks for the links... I have noticed that no one seems to address anything in those links as to how they would pertain to a semi. They probably don't even think about that when posting the laws

    I ran one for years(always Bearcat) then they went to the "trunking systems"
    back in the 90's and I never hook another one up.
    I got a sweet deal on my 996XT and it works like a dream on 18 wheels :biggrin_25523:
    I would never pay full retail for this unit,but is was well worth the $350(shipped off eBay)

    The prices on the 996 should be down abit now,its a good unit as well.
