Good, Navistar gear is better than Iveco..

Italian trucks that cannot handle the AU conditions.
At least navistar are halfway decent

LOL ....One of the mobs I do a bit of work for here in Melbourne runs one, a 550 Stralis. Not bad to drive, just a PITA being an auto. Takes some getting used to trying to load it up backing up inclines trying to hook the A&B together. Pulls the double well around town, haven't had the chance to do a interstate run with it yet. My only gripe - lack of legroom for us 6 footers behind the wheel.

I do a bit of work for 2 TV broadcasting companies here in Melbourne running trailers around for the AFL coverage (Fox, TEN). Mostly local weekend stuff in and outta the "G", and good old Jihad Stadium (Etihad) Wish they'd name it Jihad Stadium, sounds alot better than Etihad anyday !!!!!

One mob runs the double set with the Iveco, the others run singles with Scania R500s and 580s. Don't mind them 580s, they pull the vans along quite well - broadcast vans top out around 24-25t and the other carrying all the cameras, cables, and other crap tops out around 13t.

oh yeah thats gotta be alot better than the Iveco engine, what did they call them Powerstars or something? The sound of the signature humming along is music to your ears:).

Those 3 new T908s (yea sorry mate they were KWs) in my albums I ran over from here to Perth had 600 signatures in them...didnt even feel like there was a stack of 3x trailers behind me.
Such a sweet sound humming along.

(yea you can hear the sig humming away in the background over the music !!)

a GPS on the nulla? you think your gonna take a wrong turn and get lost?:biggrin_25525:

i hated the signature until i started dragging doubles, they need weight behind them or they are crap.

and i dont mind KW, just hate the KW eliteists..

Yeah you never know in the outback LOL.....nah I have a 8Gb flash card jammed in there full of music, and play it thru FM radio. Keeps me going out there.

No elitist here, but when I got to Perth in it, the GM asks "well how did she go?". And my response "sorry, but I'm taking it back to Melbourne with me". Nice to drive, and apart from bashing my head a few times getting out of the sleeper (always wondered why the ceiling was padded), sure made for a nice trip. Still like working in Euro trucks though, but I dont mind as long as they're paying me for it..... :D
