Well, I'm in Marshfield now to test out and get a truck....I'll post tomorrow about how things go. Hopefully I get a decent truck with an APU, otherwise, I'll be happy with any truck with an APU.....I hate heat....lol!

Well, I suppose that I could have posted this yesterday with the wifi at the terminal, but was ready to head out.

Anyways, test was a breeze, I aced the road test, and missed 7 on the written. Some stupid questions on there that didn't read closely enough or misunderstood.

Met my FM shortly after, Bill Thomas, nice guy. Then got my truck, '06 Freightliner Midroof with 256k on the clock with a APU. Runs and drives well, only bad thing is the last driver evidently didn't know how to open a window while smoking. Everything is covered in a stinky smoke film, I'm a smoker and it even bothers me.

I'm very happy with the truck I got besides the smoke issue. However, sadly enough, I won't have it for very long. Going flatbed, so I'll get something different, hopefully decent.

Anyways, they routed me up to Eau Claire, to haul up to Duluth, MN and were gonna send me home. They called me this morning and asked if I could run a load to Tomahawk, WI then go home. In an effort to show effort, I figured why not.

Well, all in all, I'm happy, just ready for some hometime since I haven't seen home since the 20th of last month.

3 more weeks of school for me to get my Class A CDL.
Pre-hired by several Trucking Companies. Just reading lots from all sorts of web sites and listening to people talk at my school. Trying to decide who to go attend Orientation with as my Graduation date/Test date approaches rapidly. Have HazMat, Dbl/Tripl and Tanker Endorsement as well as Passport already.
Best of luck to you...I know I have been and will continue to learn a lot.
