O/O that run RG trailers?

    They are always selling 1 or 2 year old trucks
    Your right they have some very nice trucks

    they sure do but i noticed tat they had their 2008 pete tri/axle the orange/gray one, and they had the white/green one named magritaville.

    I'm getting back into specialized. Looking at a Trail king TK 90 Extendable with flip or a Fontaine LX40 non stretch w/o flip, but I'll have to get an axle for it. The TK weighs 7 - 8000 lbs more and costs nearly double per month on the lease - purchase plan the company is offering. Any input about what is a better choice will be appreciated.

    I don't have any experience with those specific trailers. I have a trail king now and Trail King has always made a good trailer in my opinion.

    I have owned both Trail King and Fontaine and both trailers have their good qualities and some bad. They are both stretch (extendable) and it is far easier to stretch the Fontaine than the Trail King. On the other hand, the Trail King is a lot easier to detach/retach.

    The newer RGNs are about 4-7 thousand pounds lighter than their older versions. One rig I drove was 45k pounds, which meant the most the load could be is 35k pounds without getting permits. The latest rig is 35k, which means a 45k load is possible without getting permits.

    I would get the lightest trailer I could. Coupled with the lightest truck, you will haul more loads without having to get permits--and overweight permits are the most expensive to get.

    I also like the airlift better than the flip, even though the tires can pancake out. It is just so much more easier to drop a axle than to flip an axle.
