One thing I forgot to meantion: Swift HH is open to rookie drivers. This is a dedicated fleet that does not require 6 months experience. If you are fresh from school and planning to go HH, ask for an HH mentor. We had about 4-5 mentors in the division and the type of loads (location, weights etc) make for a good training environment. IE: traffic, sliding tandoms, weight balancing etc.

My point of the OP was to show what this division is like so that folks who might wish a regional job here in the Pac NW could make an informed decision. As you can see, I included the fleets warts as well. I welcome questions.
You say "This is not HH. Sorry to burst your bubble." Since the regular trucks on the road (18 wheelers) are limited to 80,000 and we are limited to 105,500 (a 25,500 lbs increase), in what way is it not HH? Please keep in mind this fleet is limited to WA, OR, and ID.
A man of your experience must admit that pulling 100k up and down hills (I still dread Mt Hood) is a far different prospect than pulling 80k. If I had less than 40k in the box, I felt empty. Not only that, but backing and turning are a bit different due the types of trailers. -
Think it was the "sorry to burst your bubble" part that came across badly. Bubble bursting is a tricky business.

As I said before, I think it was the bubble bursting remark that didn't come across well. If it wasn't meant to be a snide remark then just say so. No need to carry it on.

Ahhh so you do understand about opinions. Good.
However, you came onto a thread about the Swift HH division and were rude. You still don't grasp that, you still don't grasp that SWIFT named the division and it's the division of Swift that does Swift's heavy haul and that your opinion doesn't change those facts.
It's clear that the only reason you're on this thread is to disrupt. I on the other hand was ASKED to come and comment. *shrugs*
As for your opinion.......you're entitled to it. Just as I'm entitled to mine.
Perhaps the solution is as simple as what's already been suggested: Either clarify your intent, start a thread about YOUR HH division, or ............... accept that unless you're the CEO of Swift you don't get to dictate what their division's are. -
Pal, I have a question:
How is the division about transfers from other divisions? Do they put a driver with a mentor or team for a while? -
Texas-Nana Thanks this.
