truck driving for prime

lisalisa... best to do as they say and return the truck to sprimo... Salt Lake is where i'm also based, but the trucks are cleaned out and reassigned out of Springfield. He better be prepared to have bus fare back to Cali., and doing that any other way might wreck his DAC..

 

If they have told him where they want the truck returned to , then thats where he needs to return it to.

 

I would try to keep a clean DAC at any cost,if you plan on working at a better company any time in the future. Good luck!

 

I know one thing, anyone who is paying $1000/week to lease a truck is getting it in the wazoo, bigtime!
That is what you should be paying per month.

 

I post good information about Prime on this site, and regularily get slammed for having done so. But don't be calling me down for the transgressions of others...

If he was instructed to return his tractor to Springfield, then that's where he needs to take it. Otherwise, the company will need to dispatch another driver to do that for him - in return they will place an "abandonment" on his DAC file. As whodat mentioned, he should have the funds to cover the return trip, and any time he spends in Springfield winding up his affairs with the company.

Childishness is everywhere here and on both sides of the issue.

You should listen to yourself talk. You manage to throw a dig at him about the amount of time he spends on here and then you get all "preachy"

I've been on here for over 2 years. My experiance at Prime was well documented (positive). I say WAS documented. My CDL training thread of over 300 posts and replies has "magically" disappeared! Contrary to whatever BS the mods and operators of this site claim of impartialiaty, my opinion of their bias has been evident on numerous occasions.

In your case, I should cross a line I have never done before and give you a taste of what we put up with on a regular basis. Basically call you a liar, incompetent business person, lazy, whiner and complainer... the anti-prime equivalent to us.

 

Hello IP/U2 do you guys know what happened to Slick50? Just wondering I used to follow him at Dr. Z's old site. Good to see you two fellas are still hanging in there.

 

If they want it in Springfield, and he takes it to SLC, I would guess that they would put an abandonment on his DAC, which would make it difficult to get another job.

 

Yeah... I think he decided to throw in the towel when the economy started sliding in late '08. I saw something on cdlofit (Kevin Rutherfords website) that he had been pulling drop-bottoms or dumpers somewhere in TX awhile back. Don't recall seeing him post anything for sometime there either...

 

He was at Oakley........'bout 18 months ago.........
