I am currently a charter Bus driver driving 45 foot motorcoachs. I have my class A cdl with tanker and Passenger endorsement currently running out of state on long hauls. My question is with my license and driving experience would I get a job with a trucking company or would i not be taken seriously for an otr job.

No; you would need tractor/trailer exp. Possibly even a refresher course. They would treat you as a trainee or student.

I switched back and forth between coaches and trucks several times during my career and didn't have any problem doing so. Of course that was before they figured out that they can make more money training drivers than moving freight. You might Check with some of the smaller companys. They might give you a shot. Also I started with trucks, then went to busses then back to trucks.
