they did not explain why we were fired. The only thing I could think of is that we had been having problems with our dm for a while. We were tryin to get a new dm. Cr england's policy is that you can not change dm's without goin through your dm to do so. I have been told by other drivers that they fire lease operators all the time just to get the truck back. They have a line of drivers waiting to lease. Poor suckers...

You're welcome. Yes, everyone does have different experiences. We've met some of the drivers with CRE that have been here for five plus years. They are lease drivers who are very happy here. And there are folks who aren't.

You are correct. You do have to make your weekly payments regardless of whether or not you run. That's why you have money put back in your down time fund, and put some away in a savings account at home as well. Then you don't have to worry so much. That's what we do. But as I said in my earlier post, you CAN NOT make it solo on the lease program.

One year wonders? Are you saying that is all I am? I am not trying to "give advice" from some lofty position, merely stating my opinion as I see it from a driver's point of view with this company. As to one year wonder, well, we've been with them now for a year at the end of August. Also, I was driving local for a year before we lost our house, car, and everything when work dried up at home. We ran local with end dumps, tanks, and hoppers. So, let's see, that makes two current years of driving. My husband has twelve years of driving. And I also used to drive years ago before I gave it up for my now ex-husband.

I make no claims to "know it all". Again, just stating my OPINION. So don't be so insulting.

Howdy to everyone else. I'll step down from my itch box now. :biggrin_25510: Haven't been sleeping very well lately and it's making me grumpy. Got a sinus infection and haven't been able to get to the doc yet to get it fixed.

Not many people have much good to say about this company. Starting to understand now why they have metal detectors.

I don't think. Therefore I am. Or something like that. Seriously, I just get disgusted with all the insults that get thrown around and go off about it occasionally.

We're doing OK so far with CRE. I'm not saying that everyone does. There's lots of folks with lots of companies, including CRE, that don't do well. And there's lots of folks that do just fine with these different companies. Everyone has different situations, experiences, and issues with any company that they work for. Doesn't matter if a person drives a truck, works in a factory, an office, or the local fast food joint. There's good and bad experiences everywhere. Everyone's experience is different, as every single person has different needs and expectations.
