When I bought my gen lee s.w.p. I asked about a amp to get more power. knowing absolutley nothing about radios or amps, I listened to advice from r.a. he said the texas star 350 would match up great with my s.w.p. radio. I bought it. 6 months later the amp quit. I went on the the c.b. talk websight witch r.a. is a sponsor & advertiser & on the forum asked about my problem. his reply was the texas star is made with some internal parts that do go out & that is why he reccommends davemade amps & people who have t.s. amps should expect my problem. I did not reply on the forum, to keep from being rude or bashing r.a. I figured I should try to resolve my problem with them alone. I called & said Mike YOU are the one who reccommended me the t.s .now you say I have asked for problems by buying it? he said he would not & could not have reccommended the t.s. he dont remember telling me it would be the best choice for amp. I said well you did. he replied. you probably wanted the t.s. & I just sold you what you wanted. as I remember now he said the resisitor most likely went out in the amp & is a commom prob with the t.s. & I would be experiencing this time & time again. He did reccommend the t.s. amp. then later told me I should have got a better quality amp??? wish I had kept all my transcripts.

Horse crapola. TS has been around way longer than Dave, since his split with his buddy who also made the well-known channel bleeding class A noiseboxes. I know of a lot of TS boxes that have lasted a very long time, including my 670.

My son ordered a GAlaxy 95t that was suppose to have the super wack pack, I think is what they call it.When it arrived it was still in a sealed box, the 11 meter jumper was not installed it was putting out 10 watts on am and 80% Modulation. So I did not see anything in the radio to indicate that a tech had even opened it. The box was sealed, the radio was sealed, the wax was still in the coils. He paid for what was suppose to be there super tune, shipping and the radio. I believe he paid full price for the radio.
So I would have to say it was a bad deal. Hy your radios from a walk in shop where you can, ask att says "Reach Out and Touch Someone". -
