Are you sure about that?I'm real picky about chicken, I used to manage a small restaurant and was taught and have seen what raw/under cooked/ or bad chicken can do to somebody! lol

thanks man I appreciate the response. I don't really want to get one that plugs into the battery. It would be much simper to just plug it into the cig. lighter. I dont plan on having a fridge or microwave being I only have a 52" sleeper and theres not much room besides the bed. I can also put $20 a day on a company credit card for food. Im also on a dedicated fuel route with more loads possible than I can fit in my 70. I will be maxing out my 14 everyday and will always be back home on the 5th night or early on the 6th day. I just can't sleep for more than 6 hours and I want something to do with my 4 hours off. I already have a ps3 and am planning to buy a small led tv at walmart -
American-Trucker Thanks this.

Crete has some trucks with APU's and some with other anti-idle tech. My truck has a second set of batteries thats used just for cooling and other "household " stuff and while I don't sleep in it will keep my truck cool for up to 20 hrs ( they say)I tdoes a great job of keeping my cooler ice cold
As far as your list of why not,may be true in some cases but not all -
I know that, lol I just don't like the sound of Canned chicken. But I'll have to try it if its that cheap and easy to make a meal with.

To figure out how much wattage you need, look for the sticker on your appliances/consoles that give info about -->input amps and volts<--. amps X volts will give you a good number on how much wattage you'll need (constant wattage, mind, some things need instantaneous power that's a little higher).
For example: my laptop.
Input: 100v-240v, 1.5amps...equals 150-360 watts to run. (Depending on the work it's doing, I'm sure...full charge v. maintenance and all that). Do that rough stuff for your tv and ps3 and add the high numbers together and you know how big your inverter needs to be. -
WRONG!
