I have a new respect for truck drivers since I started looking into this field.

    Get out and walk around!

    Maybe....Sometimes.

I run on a schedule that I choose 99% of the time and therefore, I usually get to sleep about the same time every night....It can be done but you need to be able to manage your own time.

I don't have that problem either...I get more sleep these days than I ever got before.

Not if you have any sense!

But if you just choose the lazy mans diet of grazing at the buffet or eatin' hot dogs three meals a day...That's your problem!

    Most jobs have that.

Take a few minutes to warm up...I do.

Lots of jobs have that too!

What? You mean like winter and summer?

TRUCKING IS NOT FOR SISSIES! IF YOU CAN'T HACK IT...GO HOME!

So what? There are 99 other jobs on that list too...

If you don't...It's not the trucking industry's fault, It yours!
I eat healthy and get regular exercize.

    Trucking makes you do that?

    Then you're doing it wrong!

I have NO respect for most truck drivers...I have a ton of respect for TRUCKERS!

There's a huge difference between the two.

I guess you though I was somehow refering to myself. I was just answering the OP's question with some of the common complaints.

So apparently while not being for sissies........ trucking can be for the MILDY CONFUSED.

Health and exercise is all about your personal habits, not your job. Working in a cubical has less exercise and possibly just as much if not more stress due to sterile unchanging environment and annoying coworkers and customers.

As far as food goes. There are lots of healthy foods that don't require refrigeration that you can buy from grocery stores and stock up on before going out or while you are out on the road that are half the cost of take out. I can't stand any fast food other than Subway, and I always order the veggie patty. If you're not dependent on it, lay off the sugars and caffeine, buy soy/almond/rice/etc milk instead of cow milk, (doesn't need to be chilled until opened), sugar free cereals (Wheaties, Cheerios, Rice Crispies, Kix, Corn Flakes, etc), fruits, veggies, etc...

If anything instead of drinking lots of coffee and soda if you needed an extra kick just take a tablet of pure caffeine to spare you the sugar, high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, salt, etc.

And take some time to do some exercise, keep a pair of roller blades in your truck. :)
Walking and running are over rated. If you'd rather do something more "manly" find a person to challenge to a wrestling match or something.
