Just out of curiousity, is there anything in the new contract about having to have a passport. Heard a rumor that the first people to be laid off in the future will be people without passports. Is that true.

Will most likely be terminated. Even if you are banned from going to Canada one must qualify for and obtain a passport. Look for a big push to get the TWIC card too. Things are getting interesting....
-
If I'm called back I'm interested in how things will be, if I don't like it I'll move on. Good luck out there and be safe.

To you also. ATT's 'clown squad' is hard at work attempting to 'intimidate' those who have been or perceived to be a thorn in ATT's side. Laredo seems to be the favorite place to put the two together.
Will they ever give up? Probably, after they stoop to firing people over some 'made up' (manufactured) issue(s). My work history with them is largely immaculate and has been from the beginning.
-
My work history has also been very good with ATT, I also agree you will have watch them like a hawk. I expect them to try to get rid of a lot of people.

The mechanizations of the 'clown squad' are always interesting. It hasn't gone unnoticed these people are being rotated between Unimark, ATT and ITL as well. It's always the same ole story: 'I transferred over and decided to transfer back'. Right.

One clown squad 'member' recently informed a group of ATT drivers that if they were paid over $800 per week then they were probably earning too much!
A more recent 'clown squad' contact found him pedalling his pathetic 'anti teamster propaganda'. The usual stuff: thugs will come to your house, you'll loose your job, your dog will catch cancer, hide your wives and children, etc. He thought I was out of earshot but he was mistaken.
What i've found interesting is a disproportionate number of the 'clown squad' live in Florida...fertile recruiting ground for these types?

I've got a very few friends in ATT and I watch everyone else like a hawk. When I come back I'll just keep my mouth shut more. Listen and learn

It's been a great experience to date. The money is only fair when you consider the amount of time spent away from home and the technical and logistical aspects of our job. Good benefits for sure. Cleveland Terminal Manager keeps trying to compare this job to OTR trucking; little true comparison other than most truck haulers have done OTR at some point and would probably never fool with it again as it's not worth the trouble IMO.
Hoping I can go the distance with ATT and the retirement plan is still intact...

It is true, nothing like OTR, I will only go back to OTR if it becomes obvious I won't get called back at ATT. Just hope Laredo picks up soon, unemployment pays the bills but I miss the road.
