In order to have money put back into a down time fund, there has to be money available. Since the first pay check which was <-$126.80> and 90% of every pay check there after have been minus figures. CR England literally has mastered a way to run a business where drivers work for them for FREE!

They claim "NO FORCED LOADS" but if you decline a load they will not pay empty miles to your next load and usually offer you only loads that are far away just to punish you. So, rather than be punished most drivers accept the load and haul it AT THE DRIVERS EXPENSE, basically for FREE. They don't consider that the reason why drivers decline loads is because it would cost more to take the load then it pays.

It's amazing how, in seven months my husband has earned $70,000 "Gross" pay yet his "take home" pay was $18,000 which he had to split with his partner.

Their detention pay is a joke! a whole $26.00 was paid for being detained for nine hours!. Oh, and a whole $10 was paid for boarder crossing.

They lie when they say "YOU ARE GUARANTEED NOT TO PAY MORE THE $1.25 PER GALLON OF FUEL". They fail to mention the method in which that guarantee is possible. Let me just say it would be more likely you would see the planets align in alphabetical order, on the 3rd Sunday of the 3rd month of your start date, the year following a leap year before you would see that you are only paying $1.25 for fuel.

My husband leased a truck and in the fifth month the front differential failed and the repairs where charged to him. He paid $665 for repairs and $800 for the tow. He has purchased two brand new tires. Replaced Tensioner for $495. Had the truck serviced for $777.00. His lease is set to expire in one month! CR England just had THEIR truck repaired for FREE!!!! They NEVER have to pay for any repairs to their fleet EVER!

You gotta admit CR England is brilliant in the structure of the business

    No doubt about it.
CRE is brilliantly clever and exploits every loophole and gray area to their advantage ruthlessly. If CRE's mastermind(s) has any sense of right and wrong it's apparent they're able to ignore their conscious. I doubt that the majority of us would be able to sleep at night if we played even a small part in making what CRE does possible.

I believe what CRE practices in business is a sin. As a believer, I'm aware of what we're promised will be the reward reserved for sinners, and that reward lasts for eternity --- that's a long time.
Those who re-write the Lord's words to accommodate their desires and justify their actions only make matters worse for themselves, as well, or even more so than, for others, --- in the long run.
When the Lord sayeth, "Vengenance is Mine", I believe He isn't kiddin'.

I can't help but wonder what could possibly influence a person strongly enough for them to ignore common decency to the point that it appears to be contempt toward others. I think The love of money is the root of all evil is the best explanation. Plain and simple greed. The acquisition of wealth at any cost
all for the love of money.
When the time comes to pass, money can't be taken with them.
    Man-0-Man!
It'll just kill 'em to leave it all behind.
Eternity spent in tortured torment, --- agonizing over who inherited it
and how to get it back.
If it were up to me, I'd be inclined to give 'em a chance to satisfy that lust for a lost love.
Simply return to Earth and starting from scratch, with no truckin' experience or memory of anything related to the industry,

    1. Apply and be hired by CRE.

    2. Immediately announce your desire to be your own boss
by signing a lease contract for three years.

    3. Consistently match the earnings that CRE uses as examples of what can be achieved by anyone with "good work ethics" who would "never turn down a load".
(Imagine the glee at CRE when they realize they've snared a newBee already pre-brain washed and ready to be wrung out.)

    4. Volunteer to be a driver trainer, ----- who actually stays awake the whole time while training, thereby producing a graduate capable of safely operating a Big truck and related duties.

    5. Successfully complete the three year lease, showing an increase in profits every year and money in the bank earning interest.
Lusting for the love of money, and assuming the next three years would be even more profitable, and considering that Big truck truckin' is all he knows how to do to earn a living, -----
Have CRE unleash their finest silver tongued (with fork) recruiters, well known for dinging DAC reports for those who resist signing contracts and extorting thousands of dollars of loved money for bogus claims, to convince 'em to sign another lease. This time for a tad longer than three years. This time for eternity, or forever and ever, ....... whichever comes last.

    Sign the Eternal Lease
Or return to that dreaded place waayyy down under, ---
confined within a red-hot, stuffy cubicle entrenched behind bulletproof glass and metal detectors manned by armed guards who's favorite topic of conversation is the spoiled, snot-nosed, arrogant twerp, punk relatives who recently received a huge inheritance and are living it up, high on the hog while developing very poor work ethics, claiming no one will hire them because they have a silver spoon in their mouth, so their only choice is to squander millions of dollars now, because they can't take it with them.

    Tough choice, huh? :smt017

    But, ........................................ I digress.
    My bad.
    Back to reality, ......................................................................

....... Am I inferring that the powers that be CRE are evil?
    I'll let y'all decide.
I say, if the shoe fits, wear it.

Those who think that the powers that be CRE are clueless idiots mismanaging a truckin' company, ............... think again.
Those who think that CRE is unaware of the hardships their business practices create, ............. think again.
Those who compare the number of claimed successes to the number of claimed failures, and think the odds of success are in their favor, ........... think again.

For years now, I have been asking for someone who has found success at CRE to explain how that's accomplished. Of the few who have stepped forward, claiming to be successful, some were in unique situations, not considered the norm. Some mysteriously disappeared without explanation before completely explaining the process. Of the few who described how they managed to succeed, many who failed claimed they did the same things the same way as those who claimed success. Allowing for the possible bovine excrement factor, it seems to all boil down to the luck of the draw.

Obviously CRE has to have successful drivers to parade as proof that they're legitimate. CRE's explanation for so many failures is that they all had "poor work ethics". I find that hard to believe. CRE has an uncanny knack for finding and hiring the most gullible applicants, so it isn't too much of a stretch to imagine they'd be able to recognize applicants with poor work ethics as well. Upon closer examination, it appears CRE actually prefers those who are gullible and have poor work ethics. Otherwise, they'd show interest in hiring experienced drivers who have demonstrated that they have good work ethics. Apparently there's more profit to be realized by not hiring what they claim to desire.

    Herd 'em in
    Chew 'em up
    &
    Spit 'em out.
Flip-flop, waffle, blowin' smoke, bait-n-switch and outright lies are reoccurring observations of CRE's methods. Even when taking into consideration that there are exaggerations in some of the stories, that still leaves a disproportionately larger number of factually accurate failure stories. Yet there are those who'll read the warnings, brush them off as just a bunch of whiners -- probably lacking "good work ethics", and are attracted to CRE, like a moth is attracted to flame, --- the result of which is (too) often the same.

To think that the son's of Chester are dumb would be, ...... well, .... dumb.

    .

Awwww, gee, .......... there I go again.
    Where are my manners?
I should have started this post the way I'm ending it.

Yes England is evil. Yes they rip you off. You can make good money here though. I netted 71k last year. You have to question everything they tell you. Run without stopping. Train. Run with two students. Refuse loads to freight dead zones. Yell on the phone a lot. Go home only once in a while. And feel your health slipping cause you are always pissed and stressed. So yeah I made 71k net in 11 months

How do you net $71K when they are reputed to be the cheapest of the cheap? Show us some pay stubs or printouts like the Crete driver did on the other post. We don't need your name or anything, just proof that you are making that kind of money, because as of right now, we don't believe you.

Simply put: Is it worth it to go into CR Englands Refresher Course (now at $500 instead of their usual $1500 fee) or is it a F**king joke? They do not have the best rating and overall appear to have a high turn-over rate (slave-labor?) I figured that since I have my Class A already, go to CR England, get in 3 to 4 months and then switch to another carrier (never a good idea but in this case understandable considering CR's reputation)

I have yet to find a good local Truck Driving school that will give you a hands-on one-to-one refresher course, S&S has dozens of people taking the class all at once ALONGSIDE their newbie student drivers. With CR England, I was told minimum of 17 days to 3 weeks of actual "prep" to get me back in the running and then driving out over the road for 3 to 4 months. It would "appear" that for anyone who already has their CDL but hasn't driven in a while this could be a solution?

Any advice would be appreciated, I now drive school Buses locally and would like to be driving a rig again full-time by June of 2011 (when my oldest son graduates high school)
