I have a 1993 357 Peterbilt. 60DD, 18 speed. The cruise control stopped working. The control for the fast idle/pto works. Where is the clutch switch on this truck? The speedometer works. Is there a sensor on the transmission for the cruise? The cruise when in pto would shut off when I released the park brakes, now it does not. Any ideas?

the clutch switch should be directly under the cab, next to the clutch pedal where it comes out from the floor, depending on if you have stpe boxes or tanks, it can be fun to get to. It should have 2 sensors on the tail shaft of the trans, 1 at 12 o'clock, 1 at about 9 o'clock, I believe if memory is correct(?) the 1 at 9 o'clock should be for the cruise. Hope this helps.

Pete's are bad about that. There is a grease fitting that is hard to get too. If you pull up on the clutch pedal with your foot and it works it might be no one has greased the fitting in awhile. Could also be a weak return spring. Will also affect the jake.

Thank you country 29 and notarps4me, had a bad sensor and clutch switch needed adjusting. I have not had a chance to get on the computer for a while. I enjoy this forum! Logging Pete
