OMG! We agree on something?!? :biggrin_2559:

Yeah, Spokane Broadway stunk. I looked at it once (had to weigh), and decided to use the one west of town. Much better parking.

How about the Pilot center of town in Denver? I mean come on if you drive into it, and all the holes are full you have to BACK out of it.

NVM I see Linda mentioned it. I did manage to park there one night but ###### it was more backing experience than I got in Queens or Chicago lol

    LindaLou Thanks this.

Most of your truckstops in the northeast are laid out crappy and are tight getting in and out.

It sucks too, because it seems like the tightest and most inconveinent truck stops are the ones with the cheap fuel!

It's no accident why these places are designed like that.
They want you to fuel, maybe grab something from their overpriced store or their 99-cent heart-attack joint like Toxic Hell, BoogerKing, Wendy's etc
And then they want you to leave.
Most of these travel plazas are turning into little more than convenience stores with fuel pumps out front.
There's no profit in sinking $$$$ into big lots and having to re-pave busted-up blacktop while drivers park for free and eat out of their coolers stocked at Wallyworld.
That's just the way it goes...

I'm noticing a trend here... one I've certainly figured out on the road... Pilots suck, they're tiny, and massively overcrowded due to their low fuel prices relative to their closest competitors.

Now I would like to submit my personal bid for worst layout... and the winner is...... Pilot - Salinas, CA on the 101. I challenge you to get in there weigh and reweigh under an hour. Worst part is when you commit to going in there, there is no way to turn around without going all the way into and around the zoo.

Yeah, that Salinas one is awful! Good mexican food across the street though!
