When you go to a WalMart, Dollar General, or anyplace that requires you to have an appointment or a drop number...

Take a highlighter and write the number in big bold numbers on the back of the bill of lading.

When you present the bills to the guard at the gate, it's so much simpler if you've got that number readily available instead of having to look on your trip notes or on your QualComm for it.

I carry in a book with me that has all of the numbers I need for pick ups as well as deliveries. The only place I can think of that requires delivery numbers that my company delivers to is Wal-Mart.
