Are there any decent companies who will sign me on with an older truck?

Big Rigger: Thanks. Unfortunately I figured out what you were talking about for the GVWR, and on this trailer its only 24K, and I looked at the under-carriage and it is definately not built to carry heavy loads. The manuf, is gone, so I am gona stear clear of it. I agree I am now leaning towards spending a little more and getting what you suggested. I'll just have to keep looking. Thanks.

Does anyone know if this is normal? I have a 98 KW900 with a Cat 600HP, and 13 speeds. I accidentally hit the engine fan switch the other day, and kicked it into normal. But the engine warning light came on. No "Beeps" so I am assuming that there is no engine trouble code being generated. But is it normal for the engine light to come on when you switch the engine cooling fan to manual?

No, the warning light shouldn't come on with the fan. Check for codes using your cruise control switches.

The green engine fan light should come on when he fan is operating. You MAY be able to have the computer settings changed to keep it off... not sure.

thanks. That was what i was told also by one of my runnen buddies, he has a Freighshaker, but he said it was just to allert you that you have put the fan in manual mode. I guess the Pete's and others don't have that feature.
    Thanks.

My two Pete's have had it.... pretty much std. except maybe on some cheap fleet trucks... may have more to do with the engine mfg. than the truck?

Yeah on my pete the green light always comes on when you have the fan on (both on auto or manual), but not the engine warning light.
