I guess I will call tomorrow and double check all my Meds to be sure I'm not taking something on the No No list. I don't want any surprises after getting there. I have my DOT certificate but that apparently doesn't mean Prime will accept my Doctor's word for my fitness. Hopefully all will check out.

Check out the FMCSA website too. Thats what i did. Good luck. Your goin on the 21st right?

And be careful. Six months AFTER I had stopped receiving unemployment, I got a letter in the mail for a "phone hearing" regarding the money I had received. I lost the hearing. Two appeals later, and I still ended up having to repay the entire amount I received while on unemployment. Long story, but you're dealing with the government here. They're more broke than you are. Just be prepared for anything. -
Yeah, I actually have to wait 6-8 weeks to get benefits. I've only been out for 2 wks. Because mine was a forced resignation they had to put quit on the form, and even though the company isn't disputing it, I still have to wait for the phone call.
So now, even though I could start a job next week if I wanted, I have to wait for the UA office, and they'll end up payin me more.
Talk about backwards -
That's the schedule so far. Unless something fauls it up. Maybe we will be there at the same time. I'll check the FMCSA site to see if I can find what I need.
Thanks -
I am also looking at the 21st. She had originally said the 15th but that is a Wed. Today she said classes start on Tue and gave me a choice of dates for Weds. Then told me to call the thursday before I want to start lol. I think my recruiter is new.

). No problem, right? Wrong.
Not sure how it works in your state, but here in Illinois, the employer has a certain amount of time to dispute it. Even if you already started receiving (and already stopped in my case) unemployment moneys. That's what my hearing was for. My employer was disputing it.
Of course, my former employer had a law firm working for them, against little ol' me. I fought them and dragged it out as long as I could, but ended up losing in the end, because I technically "voluntarily quit." Here's the REALLY screwed up thing, the guy presiding over the hearing said "I see you're already enrolled in CDL training. That leads me to believe you voluntarily quit your job to pursue a different career. Therefor, the reason you left wasn't your cut in salary. It was due to your own ambitions."
So, if I had just sat on my butt like so many others, instead of quickly working towards another job, I may not have had to pay all that money back.
Grrrrr! Just writing about it again is getting me angry.
Just be careful man. If you voluntarily quit, your employer will probably wait until the last day they can appeal it, like my employer did, and you may have to pay it all back. Not saying it will happen for sure, but from somebody who went through it, just be aware of the possibility. The more people that go on unemployment from your employer, the more they have to pay into the system. So they will want to keep it to a minimum. -
Thanks for the heads up but it's all good.
In my resignation letter, signed by both myself and the Co, is states that they will not now or ever contest my unemployment. And it was either a forced resignation or I would be fired for negligence. Lawyers already looked at before I signed and said I was good. I'm just waiting on the Darn Unemployment office cause of the quit thing. They are so far behind right now, what used to tale 3 weeks is now anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks.
I'm gonna check tomorrow to see if I need to be in the state for that or if I can head out to school -
Her name is Tiffany. She sounds like she is a youngster.
