I been running Chrome for about a month...no issues for me.
I have Avast internet security (not the free one) to keep the viruses and such at bay...it works too.
I got rid of Firefox because it was getting slower than IE...and too much BS along with it. I like Chrome because it is simple, minimal, and if one page crashes...it doesn't shut the whole browser down, just that page. -

I've never had a problem with google earth though.

I've got 300GB's of space...and plenty of RAM.

It is irritating, because I have liked the Google Maps for a long time, and I thought Google Earth was fantastic. I like to spend time in the desert back country, and really did like using Google Earth. Until it became unworkable.
And yes, I've tried the Google Maps with both IE and FF. Same problem. -
Years back, mid 90's I think it was, I bought my first PC from them; A Packard Bell (aka POS) with a blistering 25mhz processor, a staggering 4mb of RAM and Gargantuan 250mb Hard Drive. Man, those were the days!
For a month or so I had no problems, then the system kept crashing. Enventually it got so bad I had to reformat the HD and reinstall the OS every couple of days (from floppies yet, what a royal PIA).
At first PB's tech support was on the ball, it was after they agreed to RMA the unit when things fell apart; they stopped responding to my emails.
After a few weeks of no responses from emails and phone calls going no where, and not sure what to do, I gathered up copies of what emails I had & spoke with the manager of the Walmart where I bought the thing. He instructed the manager of the electronics department to contact PB to try and get the issue resolved. That manager, along with one of the electronic departments regular employees kept at it feircely; they cc'd to me copies of emails they were sending and called me on the phone with status reports. The mangaer of the store told me in one conversation that if PB did not make the situation right Walmart would cease doing buisness with them altogether.
After five months and still no resolution the manager told me to bring the thing back and, despite protests from the stores cheif of security, he gave me a full refund.
After sticking with me as well as they had I had no qualms about purchasing a replacement PC from them, a Compaq, which I used with out any issues for a few years after that till I built my next PC.

Stay away from Walmart computers if you know what's good for ya. As said above, big lack of support when something goes wrong.
My friend bought a HP laptop there around new years. I begged him not to do it, cuz I'm a geek and know better places to purchase. He did anyway, cuz the wife just "had" to have one that day... She just couldn't wait a week...
Needless to say, the free Windows 7 upgrade from Vista was expired before they bought it. They called Microsoft and HP, they wouldn't work with them. The wireless card never worked. I took it apart to find the card's antenna cable was never hooked up. That works now. Then the power cord quit. All this in two months.
No support. You gotta deal with those Walmart idiots before you can get anywhere.
Honestly, I don't think walmart should be allowed to sell computer hardware. I've seen video cards and sound cards there for 90-140 bucks. They were 6 year old technology that sells online for 10-15 bucks all day. One I can think of that is still there is an Nvidia 7200FX(for you geeks, you know what I'm talking about) They are not even compatible with modern computers.Civilservant Thanks this. -
What is the best way to maintain battery? Thanks.
