Anyone else take their laptops with them when they attended a school away from home? I'll be staying in a hotel and wanted some entertainment, but I'm leery about having to keep it secure when I'm not around/in class.
Advice?

I have stayed in many hotels with a laptop and never had a problem. If you have serious concerns, try some of the big box stores for a lock. Then lock it to a bed frame or the rails on a closet shelf.
But seriously, you shouldn't have had a problem.elusive1 Thanks this. -
I have always carried my laptop with me. I guess it depends what hotel you are in staying in, but overall I would not be concerned. I have stayed in some pretty rough ones and never had a problem. Just keep it on your top things to grab if you have to make a dash list! Since you have your laptop with you, you can tell us all about your adventure! Good luck!

Yeah get a bike cable and lock it up. also password protect it so if some did swipe it they couldn't do anything with it. Good Luck!!!

Better clear out that history file too...don't want to leave a trail of where you've been

Thanks everyone! I am currently writing from the laptop that I brought here to the hotel. Started my first week at Swift Academy a few days ago. I'll start another thread soon about my experiences and progress
