    That year was real bad. But we didnt have people all over the nation crying for us and we didnt blame the government for being slow to respond either, but I guess that's cause we all knew we lived where hurricanes could hit us and we payed attention to things like evac notices and be prepared....:biggrin_2556:



    sorry I shouldnt have gone there but I don't remember tv specials for the effects of hurricane Andrew five years later and that wiped out Miami

    I remember bringing many FEMA trailers there in November. Also did alot of local work down in the Ft. Pierce area. Spent about 3 weeks in FL and FEMA runs before going home.

    I was down in Ft Myers alot after Charlie replacing signs for the company I worked for at the time....it was so fubared. I hadnt seen that kind of devastation in a long long time it brought back alot of memories

    Where we were in Bradenton, we got lucky. Didn't have much damage there at all. Would have if Charlie hadn't taken that hard right there by Port Charlotte. He was heading right for us until then.

    I think when Charlie came in, I was delivering in Panama City FL. Late August 04.

    yeah it was in August 04 allright we dodged that bullet and I'm really thankful for that.

    He did some serious damage

    I'm gonna be honest, I can't get a feel on Gaston. Usually I can look at a storm and SEE what it is going to do.. this one, I get nothing.
