Fuel mileage on a W900

    I can't help it...I'm a splitter I'll admite it.

    At the fairs I do the sled pull. Usually we are pulling around 30,000 but with the newer sleds that start out with the "pan" off the ground then drop it about at about 100 feet you really need to have the extra gears to choose from.

    I have to split the big hole a lot cause my C-15 drops rpms on some of the longer grades. Mostly the cruise rpm (1250rpm) in 18th is to low for for climbing. I have thought about regearing it, but have decided to hold off for now.

    What MPG's would you get with A w900l running vans .If we consider buying one what would be the best way to get more mpg's.?

    my w900L, 2009 C15 600 HP, with a fllatbed grossing 78 000 mostly, is making 6, 6.3 MPG , east coast most of the time, To save money in fuel, more important than run aero is the driving habits.
