Jone Motor Group (Hot shot express)

Hi all
Got a call today from a buddy who has been wanting to start trucking or hotshotting. He is running dually dodge truck. He has been talking to Hot shot express which is part of Jones motor group. They will lease him on. I tried to tell him to go on his own but he wont listen and he doesnt have the money needed to buy a trailer and get his authority and still have enough for emergency. So question is does anyone know anything about these guys? They told him they could get him 2500 miles a week steady and average $1.50 a mile which sounds good running a pickup. Plus they lease him a trailer for $200 a week etc etc...
Any info I could pass on to him before he signs a lease would be awesome. I hate for him to get in the wrong situation and hate trucking when in fact its a great career.

Thanks for the info. Need to call him and see what he decided last i heard he was waiting for them to answer some questions.

 

Well update is he is still waiting to hear from them I guess they are slow at paperwork. So in the main time if anyone knows anything about them please pas it on. Maybe we can help him out before he signs anything. All my try I still cant talk him into trying it on his own. They have convinced him to lease on.
