Hey folks, I'm finishing school here at Daly's (Buford GA) on Sep. 10th and have prehires from Roehl, Werner, and a couple of others. My problem is this... Roehl is truly my preference but they are booked for orientation through Oct 20th and I don't know if I can hold out financially. Werner on the other hand said "Have your CDLs by the 15th and we'll have you hired and in orientation on the 17th on the payroll if thats what you want. Any advice on either company would be greatly appreciated. Would you recommend holding out for Roehl or take Werner simply because its convenient? Thanks:biggrin_2556:

Werner will tell you they have trainers available but that is not true. I recently graduated in August and a co grad went to Werner for orientation and then they sent him home after it because they had no trainer available. He had to pay his own way home. Just food for thought!

i personally have dealt with Roehl. they have a 60 day limit on newbies trying to get in. what this means that, if 60 days goes by, and you DO NOT get a trucking job, then try to get on with them, they REQUIRE you to go back to school for a FULL re-training, NOT just the refresher course. if you go to another trucking company BEFORE you go to Roehl, they DO NOT reimburse you for your school training. its a one time, one shot deal for you to go to them first and get hired on. also from what i remember, you need to get your application in with them by a deadline in order to meet the training schedule they have. you must inquire as to this deadline and ACT QUICK........
