Yep I pick up a sealed load. BOL say paper. I have no idea whats in it. I can only go by bol. Thats why you put on BOL SLCS as soon as you get a load.( for newbies SLCS is- shipper load count seal)Could also put STC (for newbies- STC is Said to contain)

There is only one weigh station in Maine. I-95 just south of Waterville. Any trucker that has a need to err circumvent this place knows how easy it is to do. Poor pretrip planning.
Yet I highly doubt this will go to court, if it does its for prosecution. The fact that they left it in the trailer seems lame to me. If your going to smuggle, at least have some forethought and put it in the trailer frame.
I can see what happened. Opened the trailer and saw a bunch of unsecured 5 gallon buckets. Not seeing anything else loaded the DOT wanted to see the contents. -
Last couple of times I was in Maine, the bears were inspecting drivers at places other than that scale. Once was at that old Pilot above Bangor, other time was clear at the top of 95 where 1 goes north. Both times I saw it, they were filthy trucks with a year worth of paperwork on the dashboard. I remember each time thinking to myself that it must be a real b**** to see over all that and through the reflection.
